🚗 Transparent Pricing – No Hidden Surprises

All our online quotes include VAT (20%) and Road Fund Licence (RFL), also known as Vehicle Licence Fee (VLF) – that’s the government tax that keeps our vehicles road legal. The price you see online is the price you pay – simple and straightforward.

🧾 Who Can Hire?

To hire a car or van from our Blackburn branch:

  • You must be between 25 and 75 years old
  • UK drivers must have held a full UK driving licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Non-UK licence holders, please call us on 01254 495 999 before booking to check eligibility

📄 Don’t Forget These Documents

When you come to collect your vehicle, please bring:

  • Card driving licence
  • 2 proofs of address
  • DVLA check code (If struggling, we can do this within the branch)
  • National Insurance Number (if we need to get your DVLA check code in branch)

⛽ Fuel Policy – Like for Like

We operate a like for like fuel policy. That means whatever level of fuel your vehicle has when you pick it up, just return it with the same level. We don’t offer refunds for unused fuel – so top up accordingly!

🔐 Looking After Your Keys

We know accidents happen, but if your keys are lost or not securely stored and the vehicle is stolen, unfortunately, you’re responsible for covering the full cost of the vehicle.

Lost your keys? A replacement set will cost £300 + VAT, so keep them safe!

🛠️ Breakdown Assistance

While we hope your journey goes smoothly, all our rentals come with national breakdown cover. You’ll receive full contact details for assistance when you collect your vehicle. Please note: breakdown cover applies to UK mainland only unless additional overseas cover is arranged.

  • Cars can only be rented with a valid credit card
  • Vans can be rented with either a valid credit or debit card

Cars & Small/Medium Vans

  • Standard Insurance Excess: £1,250 with a pre-auth deposit of £1250.00 required.
  • Reduce Insurance Excess: £250 for just £20/day with a pre-auth deposit of £250.00 required.

Large Vans

  • Standard Insurance Excess: £1,500 with a pre-auth deposit of £1500.00 required.
  • Reduced Insurance Excess: £500 for £25/day with a pre-auth deposit of £250.00 required

All excess reduction options are payable at the time of collecting your vehicle.
