Pre Authorisation Deposit
Do you hold a deposit when I hire a van?
Yes there are a few options for your deposit.
Option 1 is to leave the excess at 1250 GBP or 1500 GBP depending on size of vehicle you are hiring which will be held as your deposit.
Option 2 is to reduce the excess to 250GBP OR 500 GBP depending on size of vehicle you are hiring. With these options we will hold a 250 GBP deposit.
The pre authorisation deposit has to be held on a card in the driver’s name. This has to be present on collection of the vehicle.
No vehicle will be allowed to be hired out without a deposit.
On return of your vehicle the deposit will be cancelled off. Dependant on your bank this can take between 5-7 working days. If you have a internet bank card like Monzo or Starling these can take longer to return to your bank.
